Maharashtra Rains: Presence of pre-monsoon rains in many places in the state, loss of lives of citizens and farmers

Maharashtra Rain Update: Pre-monsoon rains have lashed many parts of the state since last night and today. Although the rains brought relief to the people in the cities due to sleet in the air, the power outages in the rural areas also increased.

Heavy rains lashed
Pimpri Chinchwad Pimpri Chinchwad witnessed heavy rains. The city had been clouded since morning. Even light showers were falling. But after three in the afternoon, the rain started pouring down. This caused a good deal of frustration among the townspeople. Whether it is unseasonal rains or the onset of monsoon has sparked a debate in the city.

Onion and other crops hit in Satana area
Pre-monsoon rains lashed many parts of Nashik district today. Due to heavy rains at around 3 am in some parts of Satana taluka of the district, the fields were flooded. It also rained in some parts of the taluka yesterday, hitting other crops including onions.

In Sakri taluka, houses were blown up by letters
. The unseasonal rains in most parts of Sakri taluka have blown away letters from many houses, leaving a single strand of citizens stranded. Due to the unseasonal rain that lasted for an hour, a large amount of water accumulated in the field and the field turned into a pond.

Gadchiroli: Pre-monsoon drizzle has started in Gadchiroli city. Relief from the rising sun. The atmosphere in the city is cold. The meteorological department had forecast rain.  

Heavy rains in Ratnagiri district too

Ratnagiri district has also witnessed heavy rains along with strong winds. Due to the rain, the air is warm and Baliraja is happy.

Large loss of agricultural produce in Nanded
Heavy pre-monsoon rains lashed the Nanded district this morning. Farmers in Nanded’s Agricultural Produce Market Committee have suffered heavy losses of turmeric and other agricultural commodities. The Agricultural Produce Market Committee has not provided vacant and safe under-construction space, so the damage has been done and farmers are now asking angry questions as to who is responsible for this loss. Heavy pre-monsoon rains lashed the Nanded district this morning.

 The intensity of the rains was such that the turmeric and other agricultural produce in Nanded’s Agricultural Produce Market Committee were literally soaked in the rain. As the Agricultural Produce Market Committee has no vacancies, it has not been made available to the farmers. Similarly, the stalls set up to store the goods of the farmers in the market committee, Farmers have been forced to dump their produce in the open due to unauthorized occupation by some traders. Shiv Sena farmer leader Pralhad Ingole warned that there is a lot of anger among the farmers and if they do not get their due place, we will have to think in our own way.
