Nagpur: A Congress leader has been arrested by the police for trying to extort ransom by threatening some members of the Bhosle dynasty in Nagpur. The arrested Congress leader is identified as Trisharan Sahare, a one-time confidante of Energy Minister Nitin Raut.
For the past few days, Trisharan Sahare had been trying to extort ransom by threatening some members of the Bhosle dynasty, who were the colonists of Nagpur. According to police, the Bhosle dynasty owns ancestral land in Umred taluka of Nagpur. Some of the fixed amount was deposited in his bank account. However, the deal could not be completed.
A few days ago, Nagpur police took action against Ranjit Safelkar’s gang under MCOCA and nabbed the entire gang. After that, the police started investigation into the land purchase transactions of Ranjit Safelkar gang. In the same process, the bank transaction police came to know about the partial transaction made by some members of the Safelkar gang with the Bhosle dynasty several years ago. As the transaction took place through the bank account of the notorious goon Ranjit Safelkar, the police called the concerned people of the Bhosle dynasty and got information about the partial land transaction. Trisharan Sahare, a local Congress leader, came to know that the police were calling the royal family and interrogating them. He decided to take advantage of the information and started blackmailing the royal family.
Your police investigation is underway. You have dealings with the notorious goon Ranjit Safelkar. I have some proof of that. I will bring all this information to the forefront through journalists. Trisharan Sahare started demanding a ransom of Rs 4 lakh from Kiradatta, a grandson of the Bhosle dynasty, threatening to bring him before the media. However, there is nothing wrong with you. He was dealing with the land as per the rules. That transaction was not completed. His complete information has also been given to the police. He decided not to fall prey to the blackmailing of a leader and lodged a complaint with the police.
The police took the case of blackmailing the royal family seriously. Trisharan Sahare, who was accused of blackmailing, was arrested by an anti-ransom squad from Mayo Hospital Chowk. The Congress party is currently silent on the issue of blackmailing a Congress leader directly to the royal family. Police are investigating whether more people are involved in the case.
